plebos respects copyright and responds to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content hosted on plebos infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to our designated agent; if your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice.
Designated copyright agent
Send DMCA notices to plebos's designated copyright agent at dmca@plebos.com.
Filing a takedown notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to locate it (e.g. the URL);
- your name, address, telephone number, and email;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
On a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material and make a reasonable effort to notify the affected user.
Filing a counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@plebos.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, and consistent with § 512(i), we will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.
Misrepresentation
Under § 512(f), knowingly materially misrepresenting that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — can subject you to liability for damages. Please be sure before you file.
